Champion
Vahhala's
Dreamchaser (Imp USA)
22/4/2001 - 4/5/2011
All American breeding that fits the standard Worldwide
Chaser gained his title in four weekends of showing after his
release from quarantine. During the following 6 years he had
proved to be a strong contender within the Hound Group and
indeed against All Breeds with 31 All Breeds Best in Shows and
69 All Breeds Best in Groups to his credit.
Chaser had qualified and competed in SA Battle of the Champions
each year for the duration of his show career.
Also a National Specialty and Breed Specialty Best in Show
winner, this lovely hound had a superb temperament and he
excelled in type, balance, topline, soundness and his wonderful
true movement.
If the proof of a dogs worth is in what he produces then Chaser
is at the top of the ladder with top quality champions from each
litter he has sired. Most of these also are "in group winners
and in show winners". They are Top Winning bassets that show his
depth of quality, style and correct true movement. To date he
has sired 51 champions in America, Canada, New Zealand, Japan
and Australia, and now we add 2 Grand Champions to the list.
Congratulations must go to Jane and Clive Miller who's Chaser
son Bentley is now "Australian Grand Champion Longbay Anything
Goes" and my own Grand Ch Beauchasseur Allo Allo.
Chaser was at stud to approved bitches as I believe as a
responsible breeder it was my duty to make him available so as
to have a lasting impact not just on my own kennels but to
bassets as a whole in Australia.
Chaser is DNA tested clear for VWD
type 1 and blood tested clear for VWD TYPES 2 & 3
Hound of the year 2006/2007
